Sikkim: According to the reports ten students from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad were injured due to a vehicle accident in Sikkim on Saturday night . The incident occurred around 9:30 pm near the Pakshep area in Forest Dara in the Mangan district, while the students were on their way from Lachung to Gangtok. The vehicle, allegedly carrying the students, fell into a gorge 100 feet deep, injuring many.
The police reports explained that the driver, who sustained injuries in the incident, lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Among the injured students were four females. The injured victims were rushed to various nearby hospitals. Three of the serious cases were referred to a hospital in Gangtok for advanced treatment, while others received treatment in Mangan.
This incident raised concerns about traveling in hilly terrains where road conditions are not good. The condition of the injured students is continuously being monitored and their families have been informed.
The administration of IIT Dhanbad has expressed deep concern over the incident and has been in communication with local authorities for assistance. Local police and rescue teams moved quickly to ensure that injured students received prompt medical attention.
